International mobile top-up FAQ
Frequently asked questions before sending a top-up. Click any question to expand the answer.
Is MobileTopup the cheapest?
Every top-up product on MobileTopup costs at least 30% below face value, with average savings of 35%. We show the local amount received alongside its USD market exchange value so you can compare directly. Our prices are lower than public retail rates in the international top-up market, with no hidden fees or exchange costs, what you see is what you save.
How can you sell below face value?
MobileTopup operates online-only with no physical stores or agents, and uses simple token-based accounts to reduce overhead. We pass those savings directly to you through lower prices, letting you send the same top-up for less than its face value.
Are there hidden fees?
No fees when sending top-ups. The price shown is exactly what's deducted from your credit, with no exchange costs. Only credit purchases via crypto incur payment processing fees, shown upfront in checkout with volume discounts for larger amounts.
Does the recipient get notified?
Yes. When a top-up succeeds, the recipient's operator sends a confirmation SMS. You'll see the receipt, top-up code, and operator reference number immediately in your dashboard's transaction history.
What if I enter a wrong number?
We show the recipient number, operator, and amount for confirmation before sending. If the number doesn't match the country/operator format, we'll alert you. Since operators can't reverse completed top-ups, please double-check numbers before sending.
Is MobileTopup secure?
Accounts require just a token, no email or personal details. We store only token hashes, not the original. Payments happen securely via PayGate's crypto checkout with no card data stored. Every sent top-up generates a receipt.
How do I send an international mobile top-up?
Enter the recipient's country and mobile number, select their operator and amount, then pay with your credit. The top-up is applied directly to their prepaid balance.
Which countries can I send to?
161 countries across 552 operators. Includes the Philippines, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam and others across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe, North & Central America, Caribbean, South America, and Oceania.
What does the recipient need to do?
Recipients don't need to do anything. Top-ups go directly to their prepaid number without apps or registration, confirmed by their operator's SMS. PIN-based products require recipients to enter the PIN on their phone.
How is the operator chosen?
In countries where each operator has its own number format, the operator is chosen as soon as you enter the number. Where operators share formats (the Philippines, India, Mexico and others), we list that country's operators and you pick the one the recipient uses. If the recipient switched operators keeping the number, pick the current one.
What's the difference between airtime and data bundles?
Airtime adds a fixed local currency amount to the prepaid balance. Data bundles activate predefined data packages with specific allowances and validity periods instantly on the recipient's number, no registration needed.
How fast do top-ups arrive?
Most top-ups reach the number within seconds of payment. The result shows right away under Top-ups.
What if a top-up fails?
If the operator does not accept a top-up, the price goes straight back to your credit. You can use it to send to another number or amount.
How are prices determined?
All products have fixed USD pricing. The checkout amount is exactly what's deducted from your credit with no extra fees for mobile top-ups. Payment fees only apply when adding credit. Our prices are below public retail rates in the international top-up market, with every product priced at least 30% below the face value's USD exchange rate.
How do I add credit?
On the Add credit page, press Add credit to open the secure PayGate checkout. Choose the amount and coin there, then send the amount shown to the address shown. There are 12 methods including USDT (TRC20, BEP20, ERC20, Solana), USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL and LTC; USDT on TRON (TRC20) is the fastest at about 1 minute.
Is there a minimum and a first top-up bonus?
Credit top-ups range from $25 to $5,000. Your first credit top-up gets a bonus of 10% from $40, 20% from $100, 25% from $200, 30% from $300, 35% from $500, added to your credit and usable on mobile top-ups like any credit. The bonus applies to the first credit top-up only.
Can I withdraw credit back to my wallet?
Credit and bonus are spent on mobile top-ups within MobileTopup. Any amount from a failed top-up returns to your credit for your next top-up.
I send to the same numbers often. Any shortcuts?
Previously used numbers are saved in your address book. Tap a saved number to auto-fill country, number, operator and last amount, just hit send. You can also assign names to saved numbers.
What if I lose my token?
Accounts are authenticated solely by token, no email or password recovery. Without your token, we cannot verify account ownership or issue replacements. Always copy your token during signup or save it as a .txt file in a password manager. While logged in, you can view and copy your token again in the account info section.
How do I contact support?
After logging in, check FAQs in your dashboard's Support section. If you don't find an answer, submit a ticket. Our team reviews tickets with full access to your payment and usage history. Responses appear in the original ticket thread, include a reply email when submitting. Tickets require at least one completed credit purchase and must be in English.
Is there an API?
Yes. Generate API keys in your dashboard to query countries, operators, products/pricing, check credit, and send/check top-ups from your server or app. Uses the same products, prices and rules as the web interface with JSON requests/responses. API keys require at least one credit purchase and allow up to 300 requests per minute per key.
How do I create an account?
Your account is created by copying or saving the single-line token generated on the signup page. This same token is used to log in. We only store token hashes, so your saved token copy is your account.
What is a PIN top-up?
In some countries, such as Australia, Canada, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands, operators use a top-up PIN instead of a direct top-up. After payment the PIN appears under Top-ups, and the recipient enters it on the phone to top up.
